Reese Witherspoon started seriously pursuing acting when she enrolled in Stanford University. She had early successes with movies like Pleasantville, Election and Legally Blonde. However, it was her performance as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde's big-budget smash that truly marked the beginning of her career. Also, she was an actor in The Dictator (1998) and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2006). Along with her career as an actor, she is also an accomplished artist, who has exhibited her paintings in many gallery.
